Curriculum Development for English Language Teaching

Why us?

With years of professional experience in curriculum design and writing,  ELT Support Services is ideally placed to produce tailored curricula for your institution's specific needs. By using ELT Support Services for your curriculum development, you gain the following advantages:

  • Unique curriculum to give you a market advantage (to overcome the constant problem in ELT - product differentiation!)

  • Tailored courses exactly matching your students' needs

  • Compliance (eg with NEAS in Australia, or with an appropriate accrediting body outside Australia)

  • Fresh ideas

  • Cutting edge courses, incorporating the latest research and developments in second language acquisition and materials design

  • Continuous improvement systems ensure that your courses continue be leaders in their field, even after we've left!

Collaborative processes

We are happy to work closely with your Director of Studies, teachers and marketing officers to ensure that not only do the courses closely match the needs of your particular market and talents of your staff, but also that the people implementing the course feel involved. From experience, we find that this makes a big difference as people are more enthusiastic about the curriculum when they are involved in its creation.

We will work with your existing staff to carry out a thorough needs analysis process, helping to define the curriculum.

Are you not yet established? We can also prepare courses for new organisations to meet NEAS requirements (or exceed them if you would like!)

Curriculum areas covered

We can produce courses in the following areas, amongst others:

  • General English (straight or with a twist!)

  • Single skill (eg conversation, academic speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, business writing, writing in general, etc)

  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

  • Exam preparation (eg IELTS, the Cambridge exams, TOEFL etc)

  • Business English

  • English for special purposes (ESP), eg English courses articulating into, or concurrent with, academic courses

  • Professional English, for example courses specific to a particular company, profession or industry

And - if you have ideas for courses not listed here, please call us anyway - we are happy to innovate!
